Capital Letters are found in three ways.

  2. Within a pallet tap the Aa in the upper left corner to capitalize the first letter when desired tile is pulled out onto the desktop. (Exceptions are Endings, Suffixes and Symbols)
  3. Double-tap anywhere on the desktop and the alphabet will become uppercase letters.
After the first tile is pulled off they will default back to lowercase letters

Question: Could this be used in small group instructions?

Answer: Yes, TacTilesApp would work great in small group instruction. Allowing each student to get the full explicit instruction and to use this multisensory tool to practice. Especially while teaching phonemic awareness tasks; counting + identifying + manipulating phonemes, blending, segmenting and rhyming. Whether you are practicing reading or teaching new spelling rules, practicing phonics or reviewing spelling words. TacTilesApp is a great tool to teach syllable division and practice it too. Practicing letter formation to writing sentences and even basic math facts can be accomplished with this app.
